Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) 2010
DONATE ON-LINE!
There is a new way to make your pledge donation to ACA 2010. You can donate on-line using your Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card. Go to the Archdiocesan Website at: www.archdiosf.org. On the front webpage in the left hand column at the bottom, you will see a section titled “DONATE ONLINE!” Underneath that you will find the title “Annual Catholic Appeal.” Just click on the “Annual Catholic Appeal” and follow a simple three-step process to make a monthly or one-time pledge payment. This is a secure payment website. If you would like to make your pledge payment using an Electronic Funds Transfer from your checking or savings account, just call the ACA office at 831-8155 and we will be happy to set that up for you.

This year’s theme “Living Our Holy Faith” comes at a most opportune time because it reminds us that, even in the face of natural disasters, economic slow-downs and military conflict around the world, it is our faith that sustains us. Our Lord told His apostles to “cast their nets into the deep” in search of souls. Their faith, put to the test, was rewarded and gave them the courage to continue. This promise holds special meaning in this “Year of the Priest” as we pray for an abundant response to Our Lord’s call to the priesthood. It is through the Annual Catholic Appeal that our archdiocese nurtures seminarians through the years of discernment to ordination and a life of service. It is also through the Annual Catholic Appeal that the work of evangelization is made possible throughout our archdiocese, as the net is lowered again and again reaching out to all who want to know Jesus. Thank you for your prayers and generous response to this appeal, which are invaluable to answering Our Lord’s call.
Our parish has been assigned an archdiocesan goal of $137,500 this year to which, as has been our custom, we add a parish goal of the same amount, bringing our total to $275,000. As you know, the archdiocese returns to our parish every dollar above our assigned goal. This allows us to continue at the local level many of the programmatic and physical plant needs we have. Your generosity has touched every ministry and building here at Annunciation. Let us cast, once again, into the deep as we embark upon another year of service in the Church.
