parish helps prepare a picnic for the homeless of Albuquerque on the second
Sunday of each month, following the radical example of the Servant of God
Dorothy Day.Please call Chris Hallada if you would like to help, especially due to the fact that there is a limited amount of space for food preparation. ________________________________________________________________________________ AY’AM Our Lady of the Annunciation’s Young Adult Ministry seeks to build the faith life of those in their 20’s and 30’s through discussions, studies of spiritual texts, and serving our community, proclaiming the Gospel in our lives. We will continue our study of Pope Benedict XVI’s Jesus of Nazareth this Tuesday, February 12th in St. Francis Hall at 7PM. We will be discussing Benedict’s presentation of the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. _______________________________________________________________________________ VENTURING Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish has formed a Venturing Crew for youth between the ages of 14-20. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Venturing program, it is a co-ed organization youth development program, with a specific emphasis on building strong leaders, reaching out to the community, deepening religious and ethical commitments, and organizing activities, like rock-climbing, backpacking, camping, plays. and much more. “CHALLENGE GIRL’S CLUB: Attention all 3rd-8th grade girls!!! Come join a fun and exciting girl’s club at Annunciation called, ”Challenge”. It’s where the girls will be able to form a deeper friendship with each other and with Christ. “Challenge” develops the spiritual, social, intellectual and apostolic talents of young women through dynamic activities, community service projects, faith & virtue campaigns and leadership development...All in a FUN atmosphere! The “Challenge” meets on Sundays from 11:45 AM—1:15 PM, in the gym. ► JUNIOR CHALLENGE CLUB (Grades 3rd & 4th) will meet once a month.
