Children's Choir

“Shout with joy before the Lord, the King!”  (Psalm 98)

Annunciation Children’s Choir is open to all young singers in Grades 3 through 8; anyone who is a member of Annunciation Parish or who attends Annunciation School can join! 
This choir sings about 6 times during the year, but focuses on the Christmas season, Holy Week, and First Eucharist.  The Children’s Choir leads the singing at liturgies, and also joins with the Parish Mixed Choir or  Cantor Ensembles on other occasions. 

The Children’s Choir rehearses on Monday afternoons from 4:00 to 4:45 pm.  Our Rehearsal Schedule usually starts in late September and runs through the middle of May.  There is no audition required; however, regular attendance at rehearsals is a must!  In addition to basic musical skills, the children learn  “behind the scene” details about our liturgies: the theological “why” as well as the practical effort that makes things run smoothly .

All choirs are social organizations as well as musical ones; the Children’s Choir has several small parties throughout the year–parents are always welcome!
